January 2, 2013 After the holidays many of us are short on cash and need to stretch the dollar further than usual. I find most grocery stores have a clearance shelf. You can save quite a bit of money. Check the clearance shelves in your local grocery stores for items you may need. Be careful though! Be sure to check the expiration date, any damage to the packaging and if the item is stored properly. Some items are only slightly discounted and you can do better if you just wait for a sale. Don't just assume that because the item is on the clearance shelf it is a good buy. Happy clearance shopping! *Mom*
